Second Life

My little red couch gets a second life. New look, new bio, new portfolio and new ideas. If you have dropped me a line of encouragement in the last 6 months to revive my blog - I owe you one. I would soon be posting Chapter 5 to my short story Meeting Mira. I am resuming it after 4 long years. I would recommend you to read through the previous chapters, even if you have read them in the past. Quick links to help you (will open in new window): Also, please do drop in your feedback about the re-design of this blog (I know it is still incomplete in many ways). Stay tuned.

Tata Nano bookings open on 23 March 2009 in India.

Nano booking can be done at Tata motor dealers and SBI bank counters. The upfront amount to be paid would be 70,000. However, looking at the production capacity of Tata Nano and estimates of 10,00,000 bookings likely in first 2 weeks, it will be a long wait for many.  Tata Nano for the first time will effectively challenge Maruti 800. Maruti 800 has been leading the segment for many years and haven't changed much in the car for many years. It would be very interesting on how Maruti handles this new most-talked-about-peoples-car.  I would be looking forward to test drive this car sometime. If you buy one, please give me a ride!

Jack Johnson: Artist of the month

My playlist for the month is largely dominated by Jack Johnson's songs. Cocoon is the track of the day. Interesting lines:
You said this was all you had And it's all I need But blah blah blah Because it fell apart and I guess it's all you knew And all I have But now we have Only confused hearts and I guess all we have Is really all we need

Sunday Morning Dreams

This could be my last post*. (Conditions Apply) Sunday to many is by far the best day of the week. And Saturday can be equally fun if you are good at procrastinating. I love waking up on Sunday mornings. You have no check to signs, no bills to pay, emails that don't make you feel guilty if you don't respond in a few minutes. Having said that, most interesting part of the day is the morning dream. You wake up with hope, ideas and a nice smile. From a prospective employee: "Do guys work from a room or garage?" me: "Even worse, we have a well structured office."
