Have you ever spoken to a stranger in the most unexpected place that kept you wondering all day - not why but how did he do that? Well, I just had one such experience.
I was browsing few books on marketing and entrepreneurs bio-graphies at Landmark bangalore and I heard someone making a remark about the books I was just looking at. He added, “I have recently started reading a few of them and I think they are excellent reads”. I nodded without paying any heed. I first decided to ignore him totally. Why would someone tell me (an absolute stranger) about his reading habits.

I have stopped keeping a count on the number of messenger tools I use. Why? I use only one. The cute Adium for Mac. I have been pretty much following up Rediff Bol since the day the beta was up. However, I have never tried it after using it’s first beta version. It is just-another-im-tool and was fairly buggy at that point. I gave up Bol and Windows.
However, RediffBol has an interesting indian perspective to it which makes it a worthwhile tool for a lot Indians esp. those who would like to use a local indian language to chat. Here is a quick poll that I ran to check how many did actually care for an Indian IM tool, and the results are not too bad.

Ich sitze
am Fenster
und sehe
die Welt;
so viele Leute
so viele Meinungen
striet mit ein andren
kampf und chaos
so viele Gebäude
so viele Auto
laufen mit ein andren
verruckt und endlos
Wir gehen zu schnell
das is nicht richtig;
Wir bringgen unseren
kinder in die
dunkle Welt.

A CRON is an Unix program that runs programs at scheduled times. On Mac OS X you could setup a crontab easily using a GUI tool called Crontooie. I am going to next find a script to make daily backups a breeze.
