Will Palm Pre have iSync Support?

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

Palm Pre is the another smart phone which I am eagerly waiting for. Palm is not a very famous mobile company. In India, I think this brand is totally unheard of. However, Palm Pre is the next big thing by Palm and should soon see it’s presence in India.

Palm doesn’t have a great history of support with Macs. Would Palm Pre work with iSync or would apple leisurely delay adding support for it. I wish Palm makes an OSX application for address book and iCal sync instead of depending on application like iSync.

Reliance iStore in chennai

Thursday, November 13th, 2008

Reliance iStore has now opened up in chennai. Reliance communications is the new Apple reseller and authorized service partner for Apple. Considering their reach Apple is taking big strides to penetrate in India. I haven’t visited the store yet but have heard that is big and they don’t let you take pictures of the machines. Designer technology, huh?

Friday, November 7th, 2008

We have quite a lot Apple Macbooks in office now and have had some trouble with 2 of them so far. We used services of Datalogics and Ample technologies. Datalogic turned out to be a complete rip off. They would ask you to replace parts even before diagnosing the problem. Relatively, Ample Technologies is lot more friendly and professional in dealing with the issues.

HTC touch diamond with Airtel

Sunday, July 13th, 2008

I have switched from my good old Sony Ericsson k750i to HTC touch diamond. It’s a neat sleek phone, sleeker than iPhone but definitely not as good. Wanted to give my last shot to a windows based smart phone before I get my Airtel based iPhone.

HTC Touch Diamond comes with 6 months GPRS Service from airtel with a download limit of 50/MB per month. To enable it you need to TEXT ‘HTC’ to 54321. Didn’t really work for me though. I have raised a case with Airtel. Surprising no one at Airtel was aware about this offer with HTC Diamond. Grrrr!

Update: I returned my HTC Touch Diamond after 7 days of purchase. I didn’t like it. I am using an iPhone now.

Sticky Window for clutter free desktop!

The best recipe for clutter free Mac desktop!

My (real) desk is usually mess and my desktop (mac) gets equally messy later during the day. Exposé doesn’t help the mess much. And little look around helped me discover the ‘god sent’ Sticky Window for Mac.
