Reliance and Tata are geared to now penetrate into the GSM market after having reasonable success with their CDMA offerings. The GSM market explosion is great for customers as they would have plenty of providers to choose from. However, it might sometime for both these companies to build reputation in the GSM band segment. Personally, I don't like both these companies as telecom providers due to poor customer service quality. Their growth is not organic and well-structured but sure they have a lot of market reach and marketing muscle. Lets see how they do, considering 3G will be soon available with various providers.
