Google all set to tackle Microsoft

“Earlier this week, reports surfaced that Dell had agreed to pre-install Google desktop on its PCs, which would also ship with a default browser home page sponsored by both companies. The agreement is widely viewed as an aggressive move by Google that threatens to put a crack in Microsoft’s desktop dominance.”

According to this press release google, the search gaint, is all set to penetrate on windows desktop. Looks like adhoc step taken to save their presence before Vista kills few google products like Desktop Search and maybe even Picasa.

Google has already integrated their search with Safari, FireFox and Opera as the default search. And they are now fighting a case against Microsoft, telling the courts that it’s a crime to put MSN search in IE7.

Do you think Google is right in what it’s doing?
