It is fairly simple to move a wordpress blog across servers. In fact, I just did that. I gave up on my old host and am now hosting on Rackspace Network. Here is quick checklist:

Move Wordpress Installation

1. Download all the scripts - You can skip a cache folder under the wp-content directory
2. Go to your existing web hosts PHPMyAdmin page to download your Database as a SQL file.
3. Create a new MySQL database with your NEW web host and import this SQL file.
4. Upload your scripts to the new web host
5. Open wp-config.php and modify the database name, hostname, password accordingly
6. Change the DNS at your domain registration service provider, as required
7. That's it!

Most time is consumed in downloading and uploading the files. Everything else is quick. It is really simple to manage and move your wordpress blog if you need to do so. (This is also my test post after moving!)

I have been indulging myself in Paper Craft recently and have been enjoying it. I bought myself a Genmes Rotary Trimmer A4 that helps me cut board paper easily. I have been trying to look for a Paper Creaser that can help me fold board paper but I haven't found any. I have tried most of the Craft Supplies Stores in Chennai. Ghajini torrent is one of the top searched term on Christmas on Google. Ghajini (Hindi) has been released today and received very positive reviews. Despite some flaws the movie is a very good 3 hour entertainer. It is crazy though how people expect torrents to be available from day 1 of release. Aamir does an excellent job in marketing his movies, Taare Zameen Par for instance came out with a very creative DVD pack - selling lot more than just the movie. It clearly stands out. Ghajini in my opinion would be great film but not Aamir's best so far. Here is my list of favorite Aamir Khan movies: 1. Sarfarosh 2. Dil Chahata Hai 3. Lagaan 4. Rang De Basanti 5. Lots of them that qualify for 5th position!

While Maruti, Hyundai and most other car companies are posting a drop in sales, Honda has improved it's November 2008 sales compared to November 2007. This is a good news for the company. If you also notice, Honda City is one of the top advertised Car on TV. Honda looks very aggressive with the New City. Impressive!
